About the event
Hosted by Christophe Tremblay and Annik Moreau. This conference is intended for people who support a loved one aged 50 and over living with a common or serious mental health problem – a growing phenomenon in Quebec. The content will first demystify the biopsychosocial realities of aging in people living with a mental disorder. The challenges faced by their loved ones will then be discussed. The conference will address concrete actions to take care of yourself as a caregiver and maintain a healthy relationship with the senior. Finally, the conference will open on the needs for socio-political recognition at the intersection of aging and mental health.
