About the event
The thematic discussion for parents of young people under 25 aims to encourage the sharing of experiences, situations or common problems around a particular theme. Participation is voluntary and breaks isolation. It will be led by Maude, a psychosocial worker who can guide the discussions and offer information on the theme. This month we will talk about the “ first psychotic episode ”. During the evening of discussion dedicated to the first psychotic episode, we will have the pleasure of welcoming Julie Coulombe, peer family caregiver within the Quebec Society of Schizophrenia and Related Psychoses (SQS). Julie will share her experience based on the testimonies of participants, discussing her journey within the network and sharing the aspects that were beneficial for her as well as the challenges she may have faced.
